Animal Spirit Oracle Classic is the collection of animals as they were first brought together. From these early illustrations grew a hand-illustrated elemental system of animal wisdom, shaped through connection with the natural elements. This is the original expression of the deck, where each animal steps forward in its own energy and meaning.

The Blackbird arrives as the unnumbered companion card — outside the sequence, beyond the structure. Its message is: take that 'leap of faith'. It appears when it is needed.

The Classic guidebook presents each animal’s message in its foundational form — clear, steady, and rooted in lived experience.

Inside the Classic Deck

Every animal has a double page in the guidebook, covering keywords, a full message, healing influence, and a tarot connection. It is designed to be returned to over time rather than read once and set aside.

Animal Spirit Oracle Classic was co-created by Sonia Parker and Bruce Clifton. Sonia is the illustrator behind all 52 hand-drawn cards, working across five elements—spirit, earth, air, fire, and water—drawn from our lived connection with animals, the land, and the natural world.

The Classic deck was born of a love of the natural world and the subtle wisdom that lives in everyday moments.
