The Path Now reflects where The Living Path is in this moment.
The moon, the natural world, and the animals that come forward shape it. Some things appear clearly. Others remain in the background. Nothing is forced into view.
This page does not describe the whole path — only where it is now.
The Living Path is forever moving—slowly, quietly—revealing itself through moments felt deep within the heart. This page is not a calendar or a prediction but a living expression of guidance as it unfolds. Direction is not given here; it is felt. Allow yourself to move with the rhythm of spirit.
The Living Path pauses, held gently in the dark quiet of the new moon in Hawthorn.
This is a moment of sacred stillness. The new moon withdraws the light, allowing something older and quieter to emerge. In the hush of this darkness, the unseen draws closer. What cannot be seen with the eye becomes available to something deeper, and the path turns inward with an ancient, unhurried grace.
Hawthorn has always kept watch over places like these. The threshold places. The in-between. This New Moon does not ask you to strive for or make sense of what you feel. It asks you to stand at the edge of what you know and trust what lies ahead.
Hawthorn holds the threshold
Across the old lands of these islands, hawthorn is known as a portal tree. It grows where worlds meet. Found standing alone beside sacred wells, springs, and water sources, its presence has always marked the places where the seen and the unseen are thinnest. To stand beneath a Hawthorn at a liminal moment is to feel that thinness. It is not an uneasy feeling. It is a feeling of proximity to something true.
Hawthorn carries both fire and water within her nature. Her wood burns fast and intensely, and it was her flame that kindled the sacred fires of Beltane and Samhain, marking the great turning points of the year. Yet she grows beside water, guards the wells, and stands in the mist. She holds both the brightness and the dark, the celebration and the restraint, the fertile and the protected. She does not choose between these things. She holds them all.
Under this New Moon, Hawthorn invites you to that same wholeness. You are not asked to resolve the things in you that seem to pull in different directions. You are invited to hold them, as Hawthorn holds hers, with a quiet and untroubled steadiness. What feels like contradiction may simply be the full range of who you are.
Hawthorn is a tree of protection. Standing at her threshold tonight, you are held. The old guardianship is present here, as it has always been at the sacred places where her roots find water and her branches reach into the dark sky.
Hawthorn does not choose between the light and the dark.
She holds them both and, in doing so, becomes a portal.
Seahorse steps forward as your companion.
At the water's edge, where Hawthorn's roots reach toward the sacred spring, the seahorse drifts quietly into view.
The seahorse moves through the water with a nonchalance that is almost startling in its ease. It does not fight the current. It does not push against the tide or strain toward a destination. It drifts, it floats, it navigates with a kind of effortless trust that the current will carry it to where it needs to be. In a season of immense energy and outward movement, Seahorse arrives as a reminder that not everything is won through effort. Letting go reveals some things.
Seahorse carries a deep and quiet love for life. Its message is not passive; it is the active, joyful, whole-hearted embrace of simply being alive. It encourages you to set aside the weight of serious things, not because they are unimportant, but because you cannot truly receive what life is offering when you are holding too tightly to what it is asking you to release.
There is something extraordinary in the nature of the seahorse that speaks directly to this New Moon. It is the male who carries the eggs and holds the new life safely inside until the moment of its emergence. This is not a small thing. It is love and commitment in one of their purest forms. Seahorse teaches that to nurture something new, you must hold it gently, give it time, and trust the process even when you can't see the outcome.
If life has felt heavy or serious, Seahorse is here to gently loosen your grip. Be happy in your skin. Go with the flow of this dark, still, sacred night, and let what needs to emerge do so in its time.
Love yourself unconditionally.
Enjoy the good life and the fruits of your labour.
Walking with Hawthorn & Seahorse
Hawthorn offers you the threshold. Seahorse offers you what is happening right now.
Together they ask you to release your grip on the serious and the striving, to step into the liminal space of this New Moon with trust rather than tension. Hawthorn will guard you at the edge. A seahorse will carry you through the waters. Neither asks anything of you except your willingness to be present and to allow.
This new moon in Hawthorn is a moment of sacred pause. Not emptiness, but receptivity. The seeds you plant here, in this quiet and protected darkness, in this place where worlds meet, will be held and nurtured by something older and wiser than the thinking mind. Trust the threshold. Trust the current. Trust what is forming in the unseen.
Let go of what you have been pushing uphill. Let the waters move as they will. What is meant for you will find you here, at the edge of the hawthorn's keeping, in the still dark of the new moon.
Go with the flow.
What is forming in the unseen is already being held.
Walking with the moment
If you are walking The Path Now, you are invited to pause here.
Notice what is present for you.
Notice what is absent.
Notice what is beginning to shift.
There is nothing to complete.
This is an invitation to walk the living spiritual path in rhythm with the moon, allowing insight to arise naturally rather than forcing answers.
The Path Now changes as the moon turns, but The Living Path remains. You are welcome to return whenever you feel called, meeting the path where it is now.
The land speaks.
The animals answer.
The stars remember.
The moon does not pause.
This moment will pass, and another will arrive.
Continue walking with us through the living path.
